My field of research is clinical and basic gastroenterology, in particular I focused on immunology of the gut disorders.
I've always been interested in gender and equality issues in the social life and in Medicine. As a full professor of Gastro, Director of the Specialty School of Gastrointestinal Diseases and Endoscopy of the University of Salerno , and Chief of the Gastro Unit of the AOU San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona of Salerno, Italy I promoted the career of many young women, facilitating their training during pregnancy and parenthood. My interest is to mentor my students, both men and women to find a balance between career and personal life .

Come professore universitario, Direttore dell Scuola di Specializzazione in Malattie dell'apparato Digerente e primario della UOC di Gastroenterologia della AOU San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona di Salerno, Italia ho promosso la carriera ed un equo training durante gravidanza e maternità a molte giovani donne.
