
Barbara De Micheli has over 25 years of experience in on the field research on social policies, fundamental rights, diversity inclusion and gender related issues. Since 2019, she is the Head of the Social Justice Unit in Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini. In the last ten years, she has coordinated complex multiannual and transnational projects at the ‘Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini’, concerning the analysis, assessment and elaboration of the Gender Equality Plans, both grounding on qualitative and quantitative research methods; she has coordinated the development and implementation of the GEPs of Institute Pasteur, San Raffaele Hospital, Vita-Salute University, Toscana Lifescience. Her work includes coordination of research projects funded by European Commission, FRA, Eurofound, DG Reserach and DG EMPL. In addition, she is involved in training services to different institutions and private companies. She is particularly focused on diversity and inclusion issues as the designer and coordinator of the Master in ‘Gender Equality and Diversity Management’. She has worked extensively on designing and support research organisations implementing Gender Equality Plans and has recently co-authored the chapter "Promoting Structural Change in Small Organisations: Strengths, Resistance and the Quest for Excellence" in the edited book “Overcoming the Challenge of Structural Change in Research Organisations – A Reflexive Approach to Gender Equality” for the project TARGET funded by DG Research Programme H2020. She holds a PHD on organizational innovation and she is member sin 2012 of the Board of www.ingenere.it/en and Italian webmagazine contribute to the debate on gender equality in the country
