One of our sister projects, the Horizon 2020 project SPEAR, is approaching its end, and we were lucky enough to be among the participants in its final conference. The event, named, “The Future of (gender) equality, inclusivity, and democratic values in European academia: practices, prerequisites, pushback, and perspectives,” was a blast! The event was held in Copenhagen at Den Bla Hal and gathered over 200 gender equality practitioners and experts, 12 panelists, representatives from 26 sister projects, and a dynamic SPEAR consortium that proudly showed their project’s significant outcomes.
The project gave the floor to 26 sister projects to present their vision, impact, and results and provided the opportunity for networking and fruitful discussions. We were honoured to participate in this event, represented by our coordinator Rachel Palmen (Senior Researcher at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya).
During the pitching session, all the sister projects’ representatives prepared a 3-min pitch emphasizing their goals and achievements. Rachel Palmen also joined this sister project pitching session and gave a compelling and heartfelt presentation of the project.
Furthermore, we had a stand where the participants could interact with us, browse through the dissemination materials and become more familiar with the project's vision.
We want to give a big THANK YOU to SPEAR coordinators and consortium for the invitation and this well-organized event! We were delighted to be there and hope to see you soon!
